NPORS Tiltrotator System Training (N020)

The key objectives of this course are as follows:

• Provide operators with the knowledge and skills required to safely operate tiltrotator systems.
• Cover essential topics related to tiltrotator operation, including controls, safety practices, and equipment features.
• Ensure operators understand their responsibilities and general operator duties.
• Teach operating procedures aligned with industry best practices and NPORS guidelines.
• Educate participants on safe parking and shutdown procedures for tiltrotator systems.

The NPORS N020 Tiltrotator System Training includes the following content:

• Introduction: Familiarization with the equipment, its controls, and the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Emphasis on safe mounting and dismounting practices.
• Pre-start Checks: Performing pre-start checks, understanding the major components of the equipment, their features, benefits, and associated risks.
• Operator Responsibilities: Explaining the general responsibilities of the operator and referencing the manufacturer’s handbook for specific equipment details.
• Operating Procedures: Covering operating procedures in accordance with industry best practices and NPORS guidelines.
• Safety Practices: Instruction on safe parking and shutdown procedures for tiltrotator systems.

Upon successful completion of the NPORS N020 Tiltrotator System Training, participants will receive an NPORS card. The validity of the card can range from 2 to 5 years, depending on various factors such as prior experience, qualifications, and employer CITB levy registration status. The available card types include NPORS Traditional cards (5 years) and NPORS CSCS Embossed cards, with options for Red Trained Operator cards (2 years) and Blue Competent Operator cards (5 years).

Entry Requirements: Candidates should have a good understanding of English, as the course may require communication in English. While interpreters are permitted in the NPORS scheme, Safeteam can also arrange for an independent interpreter if needed.

CITB Grant Eligibility: CITB levy registered businesses can claim CITB grant for NPORS courses, provided that the course duration meets certain parameters for CPCS experienced worker or CPCS novice training. The grant amount is determined by the duration of training and covers both training and the CPCS technical test.
