NPORS Loader Compressor

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

1. Gain a basic understanding of the industry and comprehend the associated risks when operating a loader compressor.
2. Acquire a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook specific to the machine being used.
3. Identify and explain the major components of the loader compressor and their respective functions.
4. Identify key controls and provide explanations of their functions.
5. Set up exclusion zones to ensure the safety of individuals and equipment.
6. Conduct comprehensive pre-operational checks in compliance with both manufacturer’s specifications and legislative requirements.
7. Recognize and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable for loader compressor use.
8. Prepare the loader compressor for operation.
9. Perform all necessary safety checks within the work area.
10. Operate the machinery safely and efficiently.
11. Consider environmental factors during machine operation.
12. Address the storage and transportation of implements and attachments.
13. Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures for machine transportation.
14. Execute all end-of-shift and shutdown procedures for the loader compressor’s safety.

Upon successful completion of the NPORS Loader Compressor (N206) course, participants will receive an NPORS certification. This certification typically remains valid for 5 years, serving as evidence of the individual’s competence in safely and productively operating a loader compressor.

Pre-Course Information: Candidates must provide proof of eligibility for the course, which includes passing the CITB health, safety, and environmental touch screen test within two years before applying. Additionally, candidates should possess a good understanding of spoken and written English.
