Upon successful completion of the NPORS N703 Fire Warden Training, participants will receive an NPORS card. Various card options are available based on factors such as site requirements, prior experience, qualifications of attendees, and employer CITB levy registration for grant claims:

  • NPORS Traditional card (5 years): This internationally recognized card is valid for 3 to 5 years, typically until the end of the month in which the NPORS assessment is completed. However, it may be less accepted in construction compared to the CSCS embossed alternative.
  • CSCS Embossed NPORS card: This version of the card is widely accepted and requested across the UK construction and allied industries. To obtain it, trainees must have passed the HS&E test within two years of applying for an NPORS ticket.
  • Types of NPORS CSCS Embossed Cards:
    • NPORS CSCS Red Trained Operator card (2 years): Issued upon completion of training and/or the NPORS test, available to those with a valid HS&E Health Safety & Environment test.
    • NPORS CSCS Blue Competent Operator card (5 years): Issued to operators who have undergone NPORS training/testing and hold a relevant NVQ.

Pre-Course Information: Candidates are expected to have a good understanding of English. While the NPORS scheme permits the use of interpreters, Safeteam can arrange an independent interpreter if needed.

Claiming CITB Grant on NPORS: CITB levy-registered businesses can claim CITB grant for NPORS courses. The grant eligibility is subject to the duration of training and includes both training and the CPCS technical test. Specific parameters apply for CPCS experienced worker or CPCS novice training.

This training equips participants with the knowledge and skills required to fulfill the role of a fire warden, ensuring fire safety and compliance with regulations.
