NPORS Dozer Training

Upon completing the NPORS Dozer course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the industry and recognize potential dangers associated with it.
• Comprehend their responsibilities as a dozer operator.
• Possess a working knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the specific dozer being used.
• Locate and identify major components of the dozer, explaining their functions.

• Use and maintain personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable for dozer operation.
• Conduct necessary safety checks at the work area.

• Conducting pre-operational checks in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines and legislative requirements.
• Proper selection and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) suitable for dozer operation.
• Performing necessary safety checks at the work area before starting operations.
• Preparing the dozer for use, including safe operation and efficient handling.
• Attaching and setting up trailed or mounted attachments as required for work.
• Considering environmental factors during dozer operation.
• Handling the storage and transportation of implements and attachments.
• Knowledge and understanding of loading and unloading procedures when transporting the dozer.
• Carrying out all end-of-shift procedures and proper shutdown of the dozer to ensure safety and maintenance.
