NPORS Crane / Lift Supervisor

Upon completing this course, participants will be able to:

• Identify potential hazards and unsafe lifting practices in different lifting scenarios.

• Supervise load movement to various locations using various communication methods.
• Address environmental considerations, including the impact of external areas on lifting operation planning.
• Perform out-of-service and securing procedures.

The NPORS Crane / Lift Supervisor (N405) Course covers the following key content:

• Industry basics, hazards, and responsibilities of a crane/lift supervisor.
• Identifying and understanding different types of lifting equipment and lifting accessories.
• Documentation interpretation and information extraction.
• Communication methods for lifting purposes.
• Procedures for handling non-serviceable items.

Accreditation: NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) Duration: 3 Days Valid for: 5 Years

Entry Requirements Candidates must provide proof of their eligibility for this course. This includes passing the CITB health, safety & environmental touch screen test within two years before applying. Experienced operators should possess sufficient crane experience to meet the requirements specified in British standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes. A good understanding of spoken and written English is essential.
