NPORS Plant Loader Securer

The main objectives of this training are to:

• Equip participants with the necessary knowledge and skills to safely load and unload mobile plant machinery.
• Ensure participants understand the potential dangers in the industry and their responsibilities as operatives.
• Familiarize participants with the manufacturer’s handbook for the specific mobile plant equipment they will use.
• Teach participants to identify different types of transport vehicles, control terminology, and key components.
• Instruct participants on conducting pre-operational checks and safety procedures.
• Provide guidance on hazard identification and mitigation, including underground services and overhead power lines.
• Train participants in communication methods and secure loading techniques.
• Enable participants to carry out end-of-shift and shutdown procedures effectively.

The NPORS Plant Loader Securer (N120) Course covers a range of topics, including:

• Understanding the industry, its inherent dangers, and operative responsibilities.
• Familiarity with the manufacturer’s handbook and relevant legislation.
• Identification of various transport vehicles, their purpose, components, and controls.
• Pre-operational checks and safety inspections.
• Hazard awareness, including underground services and overhead power lines.
• Effective communication methods.
• Loading and unloading procedures for mobile plant equipment.
• Securement techniques for items on transport vehicles.
• End-of-shift and shutdown procedures.

Upon successful completion of the NPORS Plant Loader Securer (N120) Training, participants will receive an NPORS certification that is valid for 5 years. This certification confirms their competence in safely handling the loading and unloading of mobile plant machinery and their understanding of industry regulations and best practices.
